Eden Hazard backs Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte

Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard has stressed that the team are right behind manager Antonio Conte despite their recent wobble in the Premier League. The Blues have experienced an average run since the turn of the year, and this also saw them bow of the League Cup in the semi-final stage.

In an interview with Telefoot, Hazard was fully supportive of Conte, who has received plenty of sticks from a section of the fans, he said: “We win together, we lose together. Everyone is behind him (Conte). All we want is to climb the table – and give everything against Barcelona. We will see what happens after.”

Meanwhile, Hazard was quizzed about his future in the beautiful game, and he happened to play down the talk of an exit by stating that he still has more than two years on his contract with Chelsea, he added: “I’m already under contract for [another] two-and-a-half years at Chelsea. I’m very well there. It’s been several years that Real Madrid has been talked about. When it’s not Real, it’s Paris. If I ever have to change, I will change.”

Despite his comment, there is likely to be uncertainty surrounding his future in the summer with Real Madrid looking at the Belgian as one among of their prime targets for a squad overhaul. Meanwhile, the attacker’s father has also hinted that the 27-year-old is waiting upon Los Blancos interest before deciding on whether to commit his future at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are currently holding onto fourth spot in the Premier League standings ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, who are just one point adrift, and the same couple of games versus Manchester United and Manchester City in the top-flight could decide whether they will be playing in the Champions League next term.

One other way of entering the competition is to win it altogether, but they first need to get past a star-studded Barcelona side in the round of 16 in order to realise a potential repeat of their sole Champions League triumph back in the 2011/12 season.
