BRIGHTON FAIL IN TOP SPOT BID

Brighton and Hove Albion have failed in their Premier League top spot bid after they were beaten at the home of newly promoted team Fulham on Tuesday. The Seagulls fluffed their lines against Fulham as they failed to take the opportunity to take top spot on the Premier League table with an away win.

The Seagulls have been one of thebest teams in the Premier League this season and they were unbeaten before they took on Fulham at Craven Cottage this week. In the end, their unbeaten run came to a half courtesy the 2-1 defeat to Fulham. After a goalless affair in the first half,in-form Aleksandar Mitrovic gave Fulham the lead with three second half minutes gone before the advantage was doubled by the own goal from Brighton skipper Lewis Dunk off the pass from Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira.
