The Red Devils were looking to make it four wins from four games when they faced Villa on Saturday. However, they were unable to reach the said target after fellow Premier League team Villa came from behind to secure an impressive 2-2 draw.
Erik Ten Hag and his Manchester United players began pre-season this summer with a very good friendly win over Liverpool. The Red Devils thrashed their arch rivals 4-0 thanks to the goals from Jadon Sancho, Fred, Anthony Martial and second half substitute FacundoPellestri. Manchester United made it two friendly wins from two outings with the 4-1 comeback victory over Melbourne Victory of Australia. Martial was one of the United goalscorers against the Australian A-league outfit. Manchester United secured their third straight win in pre-season friendly games this summer with the 3-1 victory over fellow Premier League outfit Crystal Palace.
