Extreme Rules Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Champion Jack Swagger vs. Randy Orton
Rules of the match: Nothing is illegal in an Extreme Rules match.
Events leading to this match: The night after winning the Money in the Bank Match at WrestleMania XXVI, Orton pinned Swagger in a tag team match. The following week, after Swagger cashed in the title shot to win the title from Chris Jericho, Orton pinned Jack Swagger in a non-title match. While this was happening on RAW, Chris Jericho and Edge fought to a no-contest during a #1 contender’s match on SmackDown. Since that match resulted with no number one contender, a few nights later RAW General Manager David Hasselhoff made this match.
